To me all PPE is important, one of the cheapest and easiest to wear, and yet probably the most important, is safety glasses.

If you damage your eyes it is likely that you will never get your vision back. Wear your safety glasses for every task on every job all the time.

If you wear prescription glasses it is imperative that you go to your optometrist for shatterproof lenses, and wear side shields. Non- shatterproof glasses could result in broken glass shards like in the picture below. 

 Remember to be sure to always wear the right kind of eye protection for the job!
